You only sound as good as your P.A.  If you have great chops, a fabulous instrument, and more mojo then Parliament a bad sound system can still make you sound like mud. When your working life is comprised of one offs and outdoor gigs like mine is, you need to have a rig that not only sounds good but, is also light and easy to set and strike. The most attractive option for me was the L1 Model II personal amplification system from BOSE. You can read all about this marvel of modern technology here. My rig features two B1 bass modules and the T1 ‘Tonematch Engine’ (read: digital mixer). I carry a few more choice pieces with me which are listed below.
